From Waiben Year 1, Mrs. Briohny Jones
Wow! Can you believe how quickly 10 weeks have flown by? I’m excited to share what our Grade 1 students have been learning!
? Maths – We’ve been exploring counting patterns and identifying repeating sequences, building a strong foundation for future maths skills.
? English – Students have been practicing recount writing and developing their reading skills by decoding different word types, including CVCC, CCVC, and digraphs.
? Religion – We’ve been learning about making good choices, showing respect, and caring for others and our world—just as God calls us to do. A big highlight was our discussion on kindness and caring for the planet. How wonderful was our assembly presentation on this?
✝️ As we prepare for Easter, we’ve been reflecting on Jesus’ sacrifice and the values of love and gratitude that it teaches us.
? Farewell Leo & Lucia – This week, we say goodbye to Leo and Lucia as they move on to a new school. We wish them all the best!
Thank you for your ongoing support in your child’s learning journey!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Briohny Jones
